Also under the microscope will be the merits of the "task force" created by the PGA of America following the crushing Ryder Cup loss by the U.S. to Europe two years ago at Gleneagles in Scotland. The task force was established, in the acerbic words of veteran golf writer Dan Jenkins, to identify how the U.S. could "compete better over the next 20 years without sinking more putts and shooting lower scores than the Europeans".
