I'd like to believe but part of me always has a problem comitting to this notion of 'intelligent life on other planets'

I guess in part our mainstream ideaology of 'aliens' comes from movies and the media - and neither are what you'd call credible sources.

Also, the definition of 'intelligent' is as broad as you can get.

Considering we have only explored a tiny fraction of our known solar system I'd like to think that there has to be something out there somewhere that neatly alludes to this thory of extra-terrestrial life.

It's arrogant of us to think that we several billion ants on a tiny blue planet are the best that there is out there anywhere ever - but then again we have yet to discover any definitive proof either way.

Neigh sayers and conspiracy theorists will argue that the government has kept such knowledge from us for years for the sake of religion, economy, society, etc etc - and who's to say they're not theoretically grounded?

I wont say its not possible for there to be something else out there... but even if there was I dont think they are visiting us just for the **** of it without saying anything. So no, I dont believe in aliens and UFOs in the traditional sense.

The size of the universe makes it possible obviously, and man kind's grasp of the world is little. People are still trying to find one universal theory of physics to explain the world, why should people then think we can prove or disprove existence of other beings now?

Science has gone a long way but not all the way. Speculation of course doesn't prove anything, the universe being quite large doesn't prove anything either.

I don't usually think about whether there are other lifeforms out there. I don't take it for granted nor do I exclude it. I'm agnostic to it, if that word can be used for this case.

I believe for sure that there are other forms of life out there because if there are 2 planets in our solar system that have or had life(Earth Mars) then theres a huge chance that there are other planets in the universe that sustain life, and I belive that because of the theory of evolution if that planet can survive for a significant amount of time the life there will evolve into some sort of intelligent life. But I don't believe in the UFO **** because a lot have been proven fake and I find it unconvincing snce every UFO is disk shaped.

well i dont know about "aliens" and what not, but i think that there is something out there, its just too convenient for us to be the ONLY planet out of *** knows billions to have its orbit PERFECTLY in sync for any form of life

maybe not now or even in my lifetime, but i think sometime in our human history we'll find "others" , out there or at least try really really hard haha

Its a simple, and amazing idea really.

The governments of the world test aircraft over civilian airspace. When someone says, "what was that?" some doofus says "flying saucer!" and then the government simply denies that UFOs exist.

The government has purposefully perpetuated the myth of UFOs in order to test aircraft in civilian airspace and in other countries.

Ah, if only The X-Files were real, I would've answered yes (the crappiest episodes are the ones based around aliens..Scully being abducted by aliens did it for me... I love the supernatural ones though.....)

I hardly believe there isn't any other life forms, obviously they won't take the form of our popular bug eyed aliens, but **** they might just be a small insect, it would still be an "alien" life form. Think about it. How is it possible that there is not ONE other lifeform in the whole universe? It's not possible. I mean just in odds of course. If there isn't one other intelligent life form in the whole universe, I would be amazed. It just doesn't seem possible that there isn't any other life forms in the universe.

I, personally, find it pretty tough to believe there isn't any other form of life out there. Intelligent or not, I'm convinced to believe that there's at least one other life form somewhere, be it space giants that were once native Americans and flew off, coming back to teach us how to make super corn, or little sea-creatures or bubbles of amino-acid that has a mitochondria, or for even just a ******* shred of grass.

Lots of UFO sightings, odd amount of cover-ups, odd amount of "coincidences" to us.

"Coincidence" as in lots of references in the egypt hieroglyphs (that are slyfully unfilmed! ) Many mythological sub-meaning. ( I recall one that said like there was this Giant golden egg and brought forth humans out of it. Now being a myth, it has roughly the same creditbility as the bible (Offence ><!) But Golden egg out of no where and came to earth? Mothership? (Odd but maybe not) The references are unlimited.

After we unleashed the first nuclear bomb Ever, what happened? The amount of Alien sightings happened, and Supposedly LOTS more reports. Even Commercial Airplane Pilots sometime report them. Why is there suddenly lots more spottings by lots more people?

After ross-well(sp), alittle time after that incident, we have the coming of the first electronic computers.

Odd eh? We were just discovering Electronic computers after that ( And stopped Giving Heroin Cough-syrup, lol, funny thing is that it actually stopped coughs!). Isn't it abit odd? The other inventions at the time happen to be also: Hardware for computers, Jet engine, Idea of a Nuclear reactor, and missiles, pretty much a Scientific Boom.

I believe.

As for the cover-ups, who knows, probably government wet-work or something. (reverse engineer some stuff to get us all the neat stuff we can have! ^_^)

I don't believe in the UFOs and stuff like that, but I don't doubt there's life out there somewhere. The universe is ******* HUGE - it's just self-centered to think we're the only sentient things out here. There may not be many others; after all, out of nine (ok, eight, no more Pluto) planets around this star, there's only one that has life. Recognizable life anyway.
