Guest Mark Walker IC Posted March 29, 2012 Share Posted March 29, 2012 I disabled my McAffee virus scan and downloaded Security Essentials on a Dell computer running XP. About 10 minutes after the initial install, I suddenly was unable to access my wireless internet. IE8 just comes up with an unable to connect. I ran diagnostics and it looks as though nothing is going out the TCP/IP port. I get a few packets at startup, but nothing afterword. I tried to reboot in safe mode, but that option is blocked as well. The computer boots and opens into XP, programs can run, but no Internet. Can someone give me a solution? Thank you!
