Ok, here we go. I am studying for my A+ on my own. I have two older laptops, one is a HP 6230 and the other a Dell Inspiron 6000. On a whim, I wiped the HP clean. It previously ran XP SP3 Professional. I reinstalled that on my Dell. Good to go and
it runs fine. With me so far???
The Dell ran XP SP3 Home. I installed that on the HP and attempted to activate but was denied. Think I may have answered my question and want to know if I need a multi user license for the home edition. I understand Microsoft is transitioning the user
base to 7 however I prefer XP for programming my radios (am a electronics tech with a wireless background) because my expensive programs will not run on 7 and cannot afford to upgrade them. I have no need to migrate to 7.
I sincerely appreciate your assistance.
