As of Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at least 3,943 members of the U.S. military
have died since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003, according to an
Associated Press count. The figure includes eight military civilians. At
least 3,209 died as a result of hostile action, according to the military's
numbers.

The AP count is one higher than the Defense Department's tally, last updated
Friday at 10 a.m. EST.

The British military has reported 174 deaths; Italy, 33; Ukraine, 18;
Poland, 21; Bulgaria, 13; Spain, 11; Denmark, seven; El Salvador, five;
Slovakia, four; Latvia, three; Estonia, Netherlands, Thailand, Romania, two
each; and Australia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, South Korea, one death each.

The latest identifications reported by the military:

Army Cpt. Michael A. Norman, 36, Killeen, Texas; died Thursday in Baghdad
of wounds sustained from an explosion; was assigned to the Military
Transition Team, 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kan.

Army 1st Lt. David E. Schultz, 25, Blue Island, Ill.; died Thursday in
Scania, Iraq, of wounds sustained from small arms fire; was assigned to the
3rd Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne
Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.

What a shocker ! Oh, never mind, it's a war. You know, we shoot at
them and they shoot at us.

Such a small amount in comparrison to those who died for the freedoms of
South Koreans, and French, and Italians. How blessed are we that we can free
more people with lesser amount of deaths than we once did?

Amen!

And they invariably win.

That's so wierd, because the Vietnamese don't have to pay social
security taxes either.

Not in Vietnam or Iraq, and with all my limbs intact.

Oh sorry, not the response you were looking for?

Well, I can tell you this: glad it is not MY husband, brother, nephew dying
for oil over there. I feel for the families of the fallen military,
however. If they cannot believe their loved ones died for a noble cause,
i.e., terrorism, it would be a trillion times tougher for them.

Hey to all you that support the "war on TERRORISM" Go on over there, or
send your sons and daughters. Never mind that your "commander-in-chief" was
too high on coke to qualify for National Guard service.

How anyone could continue to support this moron Bush is incredible.

Just call Bush the "Widowmaker". That is what he is. While Laura, as
though she gives a damn, continues to enjoy the "companionship" of her
beloved hubby.

Perhaps there are those that don't like the idea of "us' dying in a useless
"war."

Strange, but I never remember going to Penn Station and seeing people in
camo before 9-11.

That's strange, I don't have to kneel down and face Mecca five
times a day. Where are you since you lost?

Not sure about you, but my idea of freedom is not being blown up shopping in
an outside market.
