Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Chase Utley's appeal of a two-game suspension will not be heard until next week after the conclusion of the team's current playoff series, according to reports Tuesday. The Los Angeles Times and New York Daily News, each citing unnamed sources, said the appeal would be heard on Monday, well after the Dodgers and New York Mets complete their ongoing best-of-five series. Utley was originally suspended by Major League Baseball for games three and four of the series for what was deemed an illegal slide into Mets shortstop Ruben Tejada, who suffered a broken leg on the play and will miss the remainder of the playoffs.
