Valeant subpoenaed by U.S. prosecutors over drug pricing concerns

Valeant, under fire for steeply raising its drug prices, said it recently received the subpoenas from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts and the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York. The company said it also responded to a letter from U.S. Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill concerning Valeant's heart drugs Nitropress and Isuprel. Valeant had tripled Isuprel's price and raised Nitropress price more than six times after buying them in February.
