Verizon just officially announced that pre-orders the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY will begin on May 19th and that the device will land in stores on May 26th for $199.99. The Xperia PLAY — which we most recently saw during CTIA — runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and is equipped with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon II processor with an Adreno 205 GPU, a 4-inch multi-touch display, a full slide-out PSP-style gaming pad, a VGA front-facing camera for video chats, and a 5-megapixel rear camera.
