Vikings' Peterson undergoes 'successful' knee surgery

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson had "successful" surgery on his right knee on Thursday and will begin rehabilitation immediately, although the NFL team gave no date for his return. Peterson, 31, had the operation in Minneapolis four days after he was hurt in the Vikings' victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. "Adrian Peterson had a successful lateral meniscus repair this morning," the team said.
