i noticed it when i looked up linkin park on wikipedia...

Other Projects

An unnamed member of Linkin Park is also a member of the secretive supergroup Violation of Innocence

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linkin_Park

Violation of Innocence is a supergroup formed by members of Slayer, Napalm Death, Corrosion of Conformity, Slipknot, Korn, Linkin Park and Disturbed. The group is currently working on a triple concept album centered around 21st century youth alienation. Legendary producer Bob Rock is coordinating the project. Due to the various comittments of the members, the collaboration is being done via the internet, members transmitting their contributions to VOI central command at Rock's studio. The album is due to be completed sometime in 2007.

The project is extremely secretive, no public announcements or comments have been made by the members or Rock due to a collective desire to not contaminate the project with preconceptions from fans or critics, especially as many of them would consider the range of musical styles in the band to be incompatible with each other.

i might get my *** kicked for puting this up (it does say secretive), so if one of the mods doesnt like it, just delete it, doesn't bother me.

and for all i know, this might be old news, but i'm just hearing about it.

Though Wikipedia is a user-supplied encyclopedia, they have people scan it and if something is subject to scrutiny it is looked at. They are a reliable source.

Its hard to wholly stake a claim that its real, but the huge range of band members from different genres says something itself.

it would be pretty awesome if it did exist, although I wouldnt bet much on its existince, i mean, look at the date for example, 2007, i reckon that would mess up LP, with their new album and tour, and thats alot of different bands, of different styles. so i dont know.

Just so everyone knows, the article is currently being considered for deletion.

Although they have people scan it and all, this is after all a website anyone can edit. And this all just sounds rather dubious.

So I'm gonna stick to not believing this, at least until this gets any kind of backing up.

Just so everyone knows' date=' the article is currently being considered for deletion.[/quote']Good point right there.

Mark, why do you think it's real? I mean, seriously, it's wikipedia. And this is the ONLY metion of anything similar to it. Period. In HISTORY of the world.

It was supposed to stay secretive for one and two, I know it's 2007 but wouldn't you think the LP band members involved would have played their roles on the offtime they had before the new album? :) Think about it.

From the last that I've heard, Jon Davis from Korn, the 2 guys from Disturbed and 1 person from Slipknot have completed their roles, along with the ones from Linkin Park. Also, the band members from Napalm Death in this project have not been confirmed....

Mark... Seriously... delete that post. Some people are gonna be pretty mad about this leaking....
Yes, we all know how only a select few 'lucky' people are allowed to know the truth. And other people are just kept in the dark. Its nice. Yes lets just cover it up, and pretend like it never was posted, its sure to work.

ITs stuff like this that makes my love for the LP community sour to new hieghts.

EDIT: Oh cool, look how all these people are veiwing this topic. $10 says someone says something stupid and starts a flame war.
