Go to "Majorgeeks.com" and download AVG Free. I believe it's the best free virus program. That's all I can really say.

GO INTO SAFE MODE BEFORE DOING ANYHTING!

Okay you have got a backdoor trojent on your pc for one thing so use AVG to get rid of that. But the trojent has obviously downloaded Adware and/or Spyware onto your pc to cause these pop ups and advertisments and so on.

To get rid of the adware and/or spywayre I suggest you use at LEAST 1 spyware cleaner but I suggest using a combenation of 2 (Spybot Search And Destroy & Adaware) and if you know anything complex about computer do a final clean out with Hijack This but I only suggest that program for advanced users.

Make sure you have a firewall installed and active next time you go online this can stop any other backdoor trojent downloading unwanted material onto your PC.

After all of that has been done restart your PC and it should go back into Normal Mode and all problems should be cleared. This whole proccess can take a while though, dont expect it all to be clear in under an hour.

Another note is make sure any IE or Explorer windows are closed when doing this.

Hope that helps :)

Tips for future:

ALWAYS scan stuff before opening them, especially when its from an untrusted source.

NEVER download from 'free' mp3 sites, 'free' smilies or 'free' **** sites as they are funded from installing nasties on your PC. Even if you dont download something chances are you will have something installed on your PC just by visiting these sites. If you do feel like visiting one of these sites don't use IE, thats the most subseptable to these kind of attacks use Firefox for sites your uncertain of.

Update your virus/spyware checkers at least once a week if not daily and NEVER close the virus scanner as it can stop attacks as soon as it happens.

Yea thats only if u want to loose everything on ur pc, just follow the steps as thats all thats needed as its not a big problem.

It's not hard it all automatic as the programs do all the work the only hard, to go into safe mode push f8 when the pc is booting up and select safe mode.

I got rid of the virus last night, I had the SpySherriff Virus.

Right now it messed up my Nortons and I am getting about 10 little pop ups saying an error sending an email to some random Email Address.

Goddamnit!

But this guy on this other forum is helping me figure out what to do.

Thanks for all the replies!

And yeah i did do all that in Safemode.
