I am having the same problem with my Windows Vista operating system. I am getting the error codes 641 and 80070641 after trying to install Windows Updates. I am using Firefox 13.01 but also have Internet Explorer 9 on my system. I have Service Pack
3 on my system. I tried a fix that worked for Katy and John on the Microsoft Answers blog but it didn't work. when trying to Import the reset.reg file I get an error message that says" Cannot Import Key selected is invalid". I too have System Mechanic on
my computer. I have not been able to load 19 updates. I really do not want to have to do a factory system restore. Help!!??
