Volquez off to funeral, due back for game five

Kansas City Royals pitcher Edinson Volquez, who made his World Series debut unaware of his father's death hours earlier, flew to the Dominican Republic on Wednesday to attend the funeral. "The last thing Eddie told the guys before he left was 'I'll see you in New York,' so I fully expect him to be there and ready to go for game five," Royals manager Ned Yost said. Volquez traveled Wednesday to the Caribbean after being jolted by the news of his 63-year-old father Daniel's death from heart disease.
