A 33-year-old Burbank middle school teacher accused of having sex with a teenage male student over a six-month period last year was charged on Tuesday with unlawful sex with a minor, MyFoxLA.com reported.

Amy Victoria Beck, a teacher at David Starr Jordan Middle School, is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Burbank Superior Court on four counts of unlawful sex with a person under 16 and one count of oral copulation with a person under 16, according to the District Attorney's Office.

If convicted, Beck faces up to seven years in state prison, officials said.

"We?re still trying to piece everything together, what happened, where, what kind of sex acts, how many, and how long it?s been going on," Burbank police Sgt. Robert Quesada said, according to The Burbank Leader.

"She walked in with her attorney...and said, ?Hey, I came to surrender for what I did.'"

Beck surrendered at the police station on Monday afternoon.

"She said she had sexual relations with one of her students," Quesada said.

Police interviewed the boy "and confirmed that the acts did occur" between March and September of last year, the sergeant said.

The boy was 14 at the time the alleged sexual activity began, and he is now 15, Quesada said. His name was not released.

Beck had taught English and Social Science at the school for ten years, according to The Burbank Leader. She resigned on Friday.

"She?s a well-respected and loved teacher," Principal Sharon Cuseo told the paper. "We?re all shocked."

I bet she was loved, lol.

Okay, 33 and reasonably good looking, what exactly does a 14 year old have to offer a woman like that?

Definitely a weird trend. You keep hearing about it because these boys probably can't keep their mouths shut and brag to everyone about it;) I'm kidding. It's still sick and taking advantage of a minor and a young boy's horniness.

Don't take this the wrong way, but even though they are sick monsters who need to be buried in the ground, you can almost, almost understand the path these fat old men travel to get to the point they are trying to have sex with young girls, they really have no other outlet for their sexual desires.

But these women, most of them are hot and would have no problem at all finding a sexual partner so they have endless possibilities to express their sexual desires and reject them all to chase after little boys?

I am not a woman, so maybe there is a logic there I am missing but I just do not understand that path.

There is no mystery about it. Some people just get their kicks and get turned on by being with children or young teens. Whether they be good looking women or fat nasty old men.

There is almost always an alternative, it should never be an excuse. Same reason good looking men, with wives and gfs choose to rape women. They get turned on by raping and forcing someone into sex. They like the power and whatever else.

But you have to admit these men had way less options than the women, hell a completely ugly woman weighing over 300 pounds and without a single tooth in her head can find 20 men to have sex with her any time she wants sex, men in the same situation cannot.........unless they have a lot of money

There is certainly an issue with access, but we as humans should not be behaving like out of control animals. We have the responsibility to exercise self-control.

One thing that does bother me is how women tend to get lower or even no penalty for their molesting little boys in comparison to what men get for the same crime against little girls. Children are children and massive harm is done no matter who the victim is or what sex the molester may be.

Again, please do not think I am condoning what they are doing, I would personally make sure the sick piece of garbage never got the chance to do it again if one of my loved ones was done this way, there is no excuse for it.

My point is I can see the path that was taken even if it is a path I find repulsive and sick. These sick men have no way of experiencing sexual activity without taking advantage of the weak. Young boys or girls are easier to take advantage of and if your also a teacher, you can use your possition of authority to make this abuse easier. Look at these men. The vast majority of them could not attract a woman with a million dollars in the bank. They have no sexual options beyond hookers that are all diseased drug addicts.

On the other hand, any woman, no matter how ugly, can easily find a man who will have sex with them. These women are not ugly most of the time though, they are extremely pretty and there is no restriction or limiting of other sexual opportunities. Taking advantage of the weak is not their only option.
