Oo I like the take on the orginal vs. the String Quartet of WID. Some violin parts seem to be cut off sharply for some reason. But all in all its good! :eek:k:

ooh good idea, although the cutting of strings is well yer...

i was hoping someone would do this, adding the strings with the piano intro and managing to integrate the 2

put it on zshare.net and I'll give it a listen. I'm on a laptop in a hospital and can't download, Zshare can stream, so yeahh

i think you should have the guitars and stuff more prevalent with the strings echoing in the background, and perhaps flow the strings on the verses and such.

got any other ideas?

Well, it's very nice, but in all honesty, it's not really a 'remix' dude. Just like, a little ditty where you put the acapella of the chorus over the chorus of the string quartet. I'm glad it's in tune though... If I do a What I've Done mix on my EP thing, I don't think I'll use the string quartet a lot, at least, not featured, like the Piano instrumental thing was for In the End... Just as a few little ornamentations, but I don't know yet.

Go ahead and do some more though.

he didnt say it was bad either, he said it was ok, and considering hes savaged other remix projects before, this is as close to a rep as you'll get, unless i read it the wrong way!

The strings cut off too early in the verses, would sound better if they faded out instead of just died. The first verse the strings may be a tad loud for the vocals. Definatly need to fix the cut off with the strings though, it makes it sound rough and unfinished.

Uhm.... just a question. Do you have any remixes? Do you do anything like that? I'm just curious, it's sort of a pet peeve when people who don't make remixes just start tearing other people down. It's not because I don't think you know what you're talking about musically, but more because you might not understand the process in making one, and therefore might not be as suited to giving advice regarding bettering someone elses craft.

Thanks.

If it were writing, I'd call you though.

Yes I do, I mainly stick to instrumentals of Nine Inch Nails or something along the lines of Clint Mansell, mainly stuff that has a classical appeal to it. I do understand the process and my comment was based off what I heard in the remix, I wouldn't of made the comment if I didn't understand the process myself and with the right program the problem is rather easy to rectify.
