what should i do?....

well i got a big problem...a very good friend of me...cuts hisself...not so bad but he does...well here the whole story:

...a normaly boy changed into a...PUNK he wears buttons against nazis(oh fuck of this damn ppl I HATE THEM!!!) and dyed his hair black n red...he gets new friends which are like him..AND WE(my friends and me) HE LET US DOWN...HE DONT TALK TO US ANYMORE!!!!! (it damn hurts)...

well he thinks we are air...one day he wrotes in icq:"i am so depressed i do not wanna be myself anymore I HATE ME...i cut myself and it hurts...!" i was like OMFG WHAT IS HE DOING????

the next day he shows me his wound it was not a really big one but...*it was...i wanted to crie bc of see him like that...* i do not know if he cuts hisself anymore...or how he feels...he is like a stranger to us... i do not know why i am posting this...well forget it it is not your problem...

i think u should ask him why he cuts himself.. what is da problem.. maybe he get any family problems...just telll him that u care abt him nd it hurts u when he cuts himslef.. ok

i told him...we all told him...he's going better...but depressed...his parents are ashamed for him because he's a punk and don't take him to some family-parties...hard right?

well he said just in icq he would feel better right now... that makes me happy^^

But uhm, it's not too big of a deal that he cuts, but he ignores you guys, that is a problem. Confront him. My friend Thomas hasn't talked to me for about 2-3 weeks and I called him yesterday, and he didn't answer, but when my friend called, he did, and when I called again he did, and I asked him why he hadn't been talking to me, and he said he was in Europe, but Iunno. I know he just doesn't like me.

Maybe he's just changed, so I guess you'll have to let it be that.

And if he's doing better, that's good. ^_^

if he cuts is a problem cuz it can raise some mental issues.. may be he cuts cuz his parents r ashamed of him cuz he is a punk... tel me is he really a punk?? nd by da way if he is a punk his parents shud take him to the parties..by not taking to parties they r doing wrong ..may be he will go in some complexity nd other things nd cannot get confident...cuz nobody wants o be ignored specially by their family

i cut also when i am tooooooooooo depressed by my family behaviour but i m trying to get rid of this habit

dont go to the cut part its just a thing thay do.. go deeper if you cut the roots of the problem everything else will go away. so ask him where it went wrong and what you can do to help him make it right. if he doesent want to make it right then theres not much you can do. good luck!

You should just be the best friend you can be...and support him....maybe he'll will get over his problems and stop cuttin'

If he is going to cut himself and put it out there for everyone to see then he's looking for attention. Not to get all "dr. phil" on you, even tho Dr. Phil is a jackass. . . a sudden change in friends, a sudden change in clothing, and a sudden change in behavoir CRIES OUT "give me attention."

 

Now, I know someone will say "hyprocite" and shit like that because I say "I cut myself." Okay. I do say that and it's because I want you guys to know that its not the habit to get into. Don't start cutting. It's like the fucking pringles logo "once you pop, you don't stop." It's the truth. even if you stop for a couple of months, once in awhile you'll get the urge to cut & you probably will. That's why I knowingly put it out there. I want people to stop and think about what hell their entering the first time they cut. Don't do it.

 

From what you said and described it seems like your friend is just looking for attention. The best thing for you to do is ignore it. OR you could give him what he wants and spoil him. Your choice.

thats pretty pathetic. come one, he depressed bc he cant go to a few family get togethers..your friends sounds like the most self-indulgent person ever! whats does he expect if he dresses punk anyway, its not going to be all rosy..even though he wears anti-nazi badges punks still carries heavy heavy nazi connotations. (well in the UK it does).

i think your friend should grow up and realize that the world is not going to come to an end bc of this. if his parents were abusing/molesting/neglecting him then i could see why he cuts...but jeez
