SJM
This is the same thread as I put up on LP Projekt and the LPMB. It asks the question, what do you think the next album will be like? I personally think the next will be a heavy one. Note: On this one there is more options due to some being lef out on other forums. Friðbjörn
I used to long for a heavy album but right now the feeling is that I want it to be good, rather then them failing an attempt at heavy or something... bottom line, as long as they do a good job at it, I don't care which genre it is 1 Quote [broken External Image]:http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/2784/lpfas08mostintelligentym8.jpg

LPShinodaFM
I think it's gonna be somewhat MTM sounding in the softer, intricate, and more sentimental parts. And hopefully they'll have a lot more heavier stuff which varies from pure sounding to grunge sounding.
geeko
i just want them to be themselves...i dont pretty really care what genre they might be in..as long as they express their own music and personality... Jeo
MTM part 2... Not that I´d like to hear it but I think that it´s gonna be something like that. I don´t think they´ll change their style again to make a heavy album... ... Heavy album though sound interesting. Usiel
Most of you think the next album will be a heavy one.... hahaha, it would be quite funny if the next album had a total different style of what you think. Can you imagine Chester singing sweet ballads like Luis Miguel's??  That would be sooo funny, and quite original, 'cos we'd have a fusion of Bono (many mates say that Chester has copied Bono quite a lot in his clothes) and Luis Miguel in just only Chester... in this case, nobody could say LP is unique!! (the others members'd be another cases to analyze gradually 'cos, honestly, Mike has changed his closet quite a lot as well.), but anyway, do you imagine that? Oh, God, I hope not, 'cos I also want a heavy album (although, I see it a little bit difficult to go back to their first years. Good bye to another "H.B,"... Good bye to another "Meteora" :'( and welcome again to another MTM part 2, 3, 4, 5.... Although, if I'm more dramatical, I prefer a MTM part 10000000 than another reanimation (noooooooooo!!!) or just not album, not nothing... not LP (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!) FTboy18
I think it will be in the same vein as MTM put with more heavy tracks like Given Up and No More Sorrow with a few mellow tracks like Leave Out All The Rest. I think Mike will probably not rap at all and do a lot more singing like he did on In Between but with more aggression as he did on No Roads Left. A good fusion for the next album would be the tradition of Mike doing the verses and Chester doing the chorus but instead of Mike rapping verses he could sing them. This would give us back having both vocalists on the tracks but from a different perspective. As for the other members, Joe should be the one who gets a little bit more to do. If he is being featured less on the tracks what he should do for the next album is have more instrumental tracks such as an intro, an outro, and a couple of interludes. Each instrumental track could represent the tone for a certain part of the album such as if the album is in its heavy and aggresive parts than the instrumental tracks leading into that part could parrallel that with the turntables and beats having the same sense of aggression and if its in its is softer moments than the instrumentals could be more somber and passionate. However none of us know where LP is will going with the next album and I'm sure they don't even know that themselves. We will just have to wait and see. Person
I think it's kinda hard for them to return to their old stuff, now that they have established themselves as more of a rock band with this last album. The heaviness isn't impossible, but I find it rather hard for them to go that direction. I say the next one will be M2M Part 2.
grim goofy
dunno but as they hav changed their style and it has worked out well for them i think they'll stick 2 it p.s. i hope they make more "old LP" music tho Quote Darkness Blows Through Ma Mind Like A Hurricane............And It Feels GOOD:skull:
Sheek Louchiano
you guys say you hope its like there old stuff but if you think about it then it will just plain SUCK. Hybrid Theory IS CLASSIC no one can argue against that. but Meteora sucked compared to that. most the songs sound the same. the only songs on it that i even listen to anymore are "From The Inside" "DOn't Stay" and "Easier To Run". they tried to remake the first album but it just didn't work. personally i think Hybrid Theory and Minutes To Midnight are both classics. I think anyone who thinks they went emo are close minded idiots. What the next album will be is Minutes To Midnight 2. Mike will be on it a bit more. probably some rapping and then a little bit more singing. More guitar solos and probably a drum solo.

Sheek Louchiano
I don't see why people complained about Minutes To Midnight. the songs are deeper then anything we've heard before from them. well there kinda tied with hybrid theory. as much as i'd like there new album to be like Hybrid Theory. I want it to be a mix between Hybrid Theory and Minutes To Midnight
