when I send a link to someone the person on other side cannot open it directly has to copy and paste

had trouble for a long time couldn't send an e-mail or link from the internet because it was greyed out...some nice person there and I want to thank them told us what to do and it worked.  But now when I send a link the person on the other side cannot
open it directly when receiving, has to copy and past into a browser.  Woulde appreciate someone telling me what I should do?? and thank you
