Police have more questions than answers in their investigation into the
death of an infant, whose heavily decomposed remains were found this morning
in a yard separating two houses on the same property in Santa Ana, police
said.
Police say the body was that of a full-term baby, but it is still unclear
whether the baby was born dead or alive.
Officers were sent to 1600 E. Palm St. shortly before 10 a.m., after a
caller reported seeing a neighbors dog dragging the body which was
originally wrapped in a yellow blanket, said Santa Ana police Cpl. Jose
Gonzalez.
A dog was lying next to the body, Gonzalez said, but there was no indication
that the animal had dug up the remains. Due the advanced state of
decomposition, the infant's gender could not be determined.
Authorities don't know how the baby died or who the parents are. Also
unclear is when the baby was placed in the yard -- and by whom. (WELL, WHY
DON'T THEY ASK THE ALL-POWERFUL MOTHER****ER CHRISTIAN GOD, AFTER ALL,
DOESN'T THE JACKASS ******* CHRISTIAN GOD KNOW ALL AND SEE ALL?)
Neighbors said the front house is occupied by a grandfather, grandmother, a
son, a daughter-in-law and kids, according to broadcast reports. Two elderly
women live in the back house, according to police.
Gonzalez said there's an alley behind the rear house, but whether the baby
was dumped by someone who passed by the house via the alley is unknown.
"Right now I can tell you is that the family of both the front house and the
back house are cooperating," according to Gonzalez.
