Why 15th in US?

Linkin Park is an American band.. so why does America get the album later than the rest of the world?

I believe because the time zones begin in Asia/Australia.

I dunno... I'm guessing it has to do with the time zones in general.

all album releases in the USA are on Tuesdays...always. so that's a 15th this year for May.

k then all the international ones (minus a few countries like Germany) are always on a Monday. k so that's the 14th.

hence March 24 for Meteora international, March 25 for Meteora USA.....May 14 for MTM International, May 15 for USA.

germany is ******* weird, they do theirs like either on the Monday before or even the Thursday or Friday before...it's insane. they just do whatever LOL

Its not weird, may 14th NZ is may 15th in the states, its all the same time.

thats true,the lp album is actually ebing released on the same day...so its not that big a deal, it only looks odd because the timezones are different

Haninator is right, all albums, american or not are released in the UK (wher i live) and other places on a monday regardless.

Meteroa came out on a monday and i remember telling my friend in P.A over msn how good it was and teasing her i had it a day earlier

Although when I pre-order from Collision Course from LP's website I got it the Saturday before the international release (2 days before international release)

Its all cause something to do with an agreement that records should be released on the same day in order to acuratly count the charts. It all depends when the charts are officialy announched I guess. Here its Sunday afternoon, in the US it may be Monday. Then the count starts all over the next day. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH TIMEZONES as America is BEHIND the majority of the world.

Germany has it on the friday before or after the US release....it started 2 years ago before that we had it always on Monday I think....I also saw some albums coming out on Thursdays now...
