Why do I need to leave the WIN7 CD in my PC to insure it does not Blue Screen?

How do I get WIN7 to work without leaving the WIN7 CD in my PC 24x7?

I Started having some issues with WIN7 two weeks ago after a "restore"so I popped the WIN7 CD in and ran the closest thing to 'repair'.

The problem now is that the WIN7 program only boots properly if I leave the MS WIN7 CD in the drive! It also failed to take a recent WIN update.

Also it shows two boot options now; WINDOWS and WIN7?!?
