No sooner had bloggers decided that Microsoft's widely trumpeted Windows 8 wouldn't pose any serious threat to Linux than a whole new wrinkle emerged. "Wrinkle" is actually a bit of a euphemism, in this case; in fact, it was the prospect of a computing landscape that could change life as Linux users know it.
