Here's the question we're all wanting to know the answer to:

Will there be cursing in the new LP album?

I can't give my opinion on it really, because I have no idea. It won't bother me either way but I'm sure they'd lose some fans if they did.

I was listening to Reading My Eyes and this question popped into my head.

So let's vote :D

hmmm that is a good questoin....if they do that might as well throw in a song that says **** at least 150 times to make up for Hybird Theory, Meteroa, and Live In Texas

Yeah exactly. I'd actually prefer it if they did. The thing is, there's both good and bad consequences for cursing and also not cursing.

It'd be pretty cool to hear Mike do it but I don't think I'd react very well to Chester saying the F word or something. I'm totally down with them doing it live but the album....I dunno.

If they changed the last line of OSC to "I'm One Step Closer to the edge and I'm about to ******* BREEEAAAK" I wouldn't mind that lmao.

Well we'll find out if any of the new songs have cursing on Thursday! :)

and due to popular request, I added "maybe" lol so that's what I'm voting for.

Well I think Mike can say **** and ****...it's fine with me. **** is ok. I wouldn't expect LP to say ***** but ****** is ok. I really don't care what they do because it's Linkin Park and I'll always love them no matter what they do :)

ive seen most all members of LP curse :p yeah chaz changes around OSC at Rock Im Park 01's night show and says "another ******* *** **** strain" on OSC. so I dont think it'd be that bad if he did it o_O

If they said "******* break" in OSC then it'd probably throw it off. Why? Because even one small word can throw it all off. It jumbles up into a mouth full & that never ends well.

There has never been cursing & I dont think they should start now. I hope not because they are one of the very FEW bands that dont curse in their music. I hope there isn't any cursing. And I doubt there will be. I mean they know that you dont have to curse in order to be cool or come off as a bad ***. Thats one of the main reason I like them... errrr

I mean I dont mind cursing, but come on... Its LP... Its clean music. They would lose fans. Not me, but other fans. [sigh]

yea they all curse, but come on now... thats them. I know I curse, but I dont think I'd use it in my writing. I have, but not much. Only when there is like a missing word/link & it goes with it.

Good point, but cursing can still be a form of expression. I mean of course there are bands out there who curse excessively just to try to come off as being cool or whatever... But what it all boils down to is that a curse is just a word... and thats all. I dont think they should specifically try NOT to curse just because thats what their image suggests they will do. All that will do is limit their creativity and level of expression.

Closing statement: Cursing is not needed at all, but when used as a form of expression, it should be openly accepted. :thumbsup:
