Win 7 Bootmanager missing

Started to have issues with my computer due to a driver (most probably). Decided to clean reinstall Win 7 but the installation was aborted unexpectedly. Tried again and:
Using the Win 7 dvd, it won't let me boot. Error: "Missing Boot Manager"
Using Win 7 on usb drive, I'm able to start the installation process until I get the error: "Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition." I get the same error even if I use diskpart to create a 100MB system partition and a 40GB Win 7 partition.
Bootrec /fixmbr -> successful
Bootrec /fixboot -> successful
Bootrec /scanos -> cannot find
Bootrec /RebuildBcd -> no C drive found

Please advice. TIA
