Windows 7 AIK not being read

I work for local company and I'm trying to generate a Windows 7 AIK for our new builds, but I'm running into an early problem.
I followed the steps detailed here: http://daedalusdesign.biz/StepByStep_ITPro.htm (file that was provided with the Windows 7 AIK download), but upon booting with the Windows 7 DVD in the drive, and the USB stick (in any port), Windows setup still stops on the Initial screen with the Language/Time & Currency/Keyboard input selection screen.
What am I doing wrong?
