Windows 7 dual physical screens remain blank after remote desktop

Hi Guys,

I'm running Win7 Enterprise x86 RTM (reasonably patched up) on a Dell Optiplex 755 with an ATI Radeon HD2400Pro PCIe card and the ATI 9.11 Catalyst Drivers/Control Center.

I'm finding that if I've remoted in (F5 Firepass, RDP session) overnight, then when I get in, in the morning, my dual (HP2035 DVI-D) screens are blank and no ammount of mouse/keyboard bashing will wake them up. The PC is still pingable and I can still remote desktop in. At the moment I have to logout using MSTSC and then power down the PC using it's power button (nicely, just a quick press to do a nice shutdown), then power it back up again.

I suspect it's some conflict between the ATI drivers, power saving turning the monitors off and me physically turning the monitors off when I go home at night.

Today I've tweaked the power saving options to not turn the monitors off and I'll not physically turn them off when I go home, remote in tonight and see if they still go in the morning. And if they do, play around with the power saving/monitor power combinations until I can pick the combos that fail/work.

Has anyone else seen this? or similar?
