Guest KnowEnoughToBeDangerous Posted March 9, 2012 Share Posted March 9, 2012 I asked for help on this forum once before about this poroblem but it morphed into a new problem that I have never seen before happen on any computer I have installed windows on. I was having problems with my computer getting past the windows starting screen about a month ago so I tried recovering the drive using Windows Recovery. That didn't work so I reformated the drive and reset the mbr. I made a brand new windows iso disk, change boot order to disk drive and went to install windows. Windows loaded the required files, but then goes to the Windows Is Starting screen and hangs!!! I tried a new iso disc, new disc drive, new hard drive and still the files load and hangs at Windows Is Starting. I have never had this problem and never seen it. I should not see the Windows Is Starting screen when installing Windows. I have tested the ram and found no errors. I ran a disk check on the old drive and found no errors.
