Guest Susan Bradley Posted February 10, 2012 Share Posted February 10, 2012 Instaling my last Win7 sp1 and it gets a 80004005. x64. I know from other threads that this is a generic error. I've tried the following: 1. sfc/scannow - indicated no errors 2. System update readiness tool - cbs logs indicated no errors 3. Followed this http://blogs.technet.com/b/asiasupp/archive/2011/03/22/windows-7-sp1-installation-failed-with-error-0x80004005-e-fail.aspx No change.
