I am curreny attempting to upgrade to Windows 7 x64 from Vista x64. Everything is going fine until the last step 'transfer files settings & programs' getting stuck at 62% a 'please wait' message appearing than after around 10-15 minutes my computer reboots than informing me that the upgrade was unsuccessful and my previous OS files would now be restored rolling back to vista after researching this error I found the 50319 fix installing the patch and attemping the upgrade again still no luck I am now on my 3rd try I have removed any programs that can could interfere with the installation as will as removing all usb devices aside from keyboard & mouse & following the manual resolutiion that is given for this error I am not the must advanced when it comes to computers so step by steps articles would be appreciated. Also just wondering if the error would be fixed if I did a clean installation or still remain ?
