After running Windows Defender Offline on a Vista 32-bit system with the "Vista Security 2012" scare-ware virus, I have successfully stopped the virus, however I am not able to run any programs. Upon rebooting after running Windows Defender Offline, when I try to run a program, Windows Vista opens a window asking "which program would you like to open this file?" Anyone have any thoughts on this? Perhaps a Install disk "repair" might help?
