A while back, my computer was hit with a really bad strain of the Google virus and after removal, Windows Updates and System Restore no longer work. I tried downloading the updates manually from the Windows Update website manually using IE but I keep
getting the following message:
The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem.

How do I download them if this keeps popping up? I've tried everything I can think of to update my Windows XP for months and nothing works. I tried doing it by going to System in Control Panel as well. What can I do at this point?
