Windows Vista in domain

Hi

We're getting messages from the Windows Security center that the windows

firewall is turned off.

I cannot enable this, or turn back on.

This always happen when the computer is connected/joined to a win2003/SBS

domain.

Is there a way to solve this? Have looked in the group policy? The Server is

up-to-date with the Vista compatible patches.

The ability to control the firewall from the local machine is removed when

it is a member of a Domain.

You are required to manage client device firewall settings from the Domain

using Group Policy.

So create a GPO at the relevant level in your Domain structure to configure

the settings you wish for the machines you wish to target.

If you do not know how to do this then your Domain admins do and only they

have permission by default to do this for you.
