I have two dell pc's in a LAN with a verizon router and the network is wireless. Both PC's run the XP OS. Both machines are set to auto dnload and install windows updates from the Update website. Both PC's are protected by Norton 360. The auto dnload
and instals worked just perfectly for a long time. Until the night of May 16 in fact. Both PC's install in the middle of the night. Since May 16 however the dnloads and installations have failed. I ran the "fix it utility" and this did not repair the problem.
It is the exact same error code message for every failure: Installation Failure. Error Code: 0x8007001F. Help. I'm stymied.
