Winless New Orleans, carrying an NBA-worst 0-6 record, released injured guard Lance Stephenson on Monday, opening a roster spot expected to go to former Phoenix Suns guard Archie Goodwin. The Pelicans lost Stephenson to a groin injury that was expected to require surgery and mean several weeks out of the lineup for the NBA veteran, who was averaging 9.7 points, 4.8 assists and 3.3 rebounds this season. "It's tough," Pelicans forward Anthony Davis said.
