How many of you guys have jobs, and where do you work?

 

It is unbelievably hard to get work in my area. Is it that hard all over? Jobs should be made more accessible for everyone, and there should be work for people who don't have as many qualifications as others.

 

I was trying to get a job for the summer, but by the time I find one, the summer will be over.

I go around Colorado doing housing maintence(?).

yeah..it's soooo hard where i'm from!! i have the exact same problem...i've been looking everywhere..no luck

i applyed at like 10 places and didnt make it so hard here to.

Yes. It's very boring.

From what I know its not too hard out here. I personally dont have a real job, I just do some web design work and other work like that.

I do yard work or baby-sit for my nieebors, but I can't truely consider it a job.....

i could do that but i need a part time job becase i need a few programs and parts for my comp.no one in my area will hire me tho:( ya yard works a job but i live near a lot of apartments and baby sitting no ones youngenuff to do that. everyones 16+

i babysit, but apart from that, i really need to go find one, but im going on hols for 2 weeks so not many people want me just yet

after that though might go and work in a clothes shop, a few vacancies where i am...

There are a TON of government and government contract jobs in the US.

Of course I was in the Army before I got this job but after I became a civilian again I found out about all the gov civilian jobs out there and grabbed one quick

I sit in front of a monitor tracking shipments, finding out why they were delivered late and yell at those who screwed up.

 

I also get to take money away if I deem expenses to be too much. (But I don't get to keep any of it.)

 

It fills 40 hours, pays the bills and allows me to keep up with my rather expensive habits (collecting LP items, among others.)

It's not. One of these days I'll get a new job, but that means updating my resume and interviewing again... As well as forfeiting my 3rd week of paid vacation next year (for 5 years of service).

It seems 'jobs' are what I think of half the time now u_u

well I'm getting one in October I think...that's when I'm 16. Might get a part time at a grocery store, or convenient store, or something like that...

i'm 14 so i can get a 'job' besides i'm lazy, i lay around the house all day, its a wonder how i don't weigh a billion pounds,

I got a sweet ass job this summer, thank you college education!!!

Seems that some of you are also having trouble getting jobs. Why is it so hard? I haven't been looking very long, that's true, but everyone I talk to about work says it's hard to find a job.

 

I might end up getting a Saturday job, and fitting it around my A-levels. :/

I think it just depends on what job you're looking for, what area you live in and how qualified you are. The town I live in is practically jobless, and the jobs that *are* going are unsuitable for what I can do. I'm having to look elsewhere for work, but then employment has always been pretty bad around here.
