The US economy is ruled by consumerism...supply and demand. And thus once they begin to saturate this economy they need to look for others.
The problem with consumerism, is that we all want everything, without paying for the quality. Hence the stranglehold that China now has on world markets. Before China, it was Korea, Taiwan, Japan, etc.
This rabid want of the west is handing economic power to the east.
Our elections have become "who is the lesser of the evils" sort of process.
And that is a sad reflection, not just on your country, but on the people who vote. Don't worry, we are in the same boat in OZ. We have compulsory voting. The idiot still got in, on what we refer to as preferential voting. Meaning I vote for Bill, and Bill doesn't win, so he hands my vote to Phil, who only scored 10 % of the primary votes, but he wins on preferences handed to him by Bill, and Susan, and Sarah, and Geoff. Sad ******* democracy.
We hold on to this false "land of the free" **** because of our forefathers (who were quite wise and left too many loopholes that they coulda never foreseen in today soceiety) and to this day think we are the "freeist" nation alive..and clearly we are not.
Yep, agreed. Land of the free you are not. Land of the law suit is how you are portrayed in the media. Sadly, we are heading down the same path. Insurance premiums for public liability are so high, many long-term public gatherings are being canned because we can't afford to insure the events. ******* sad that.
But what we have is Military power, and think our way of life is the best and everyone thinks we should enjoy it and live a life of joy.....SO did hitler...only hitler decided who was worthy and who was not...and that is technically what we are doing now...If we TRUELY had a choice of how our country was run it wouldnt be run the way it is now. Presidents are nothing more than puppets for corporations and civil factions......Yet no one seems to win in this game because the real people pulling the stings we dont have control over, or can vote on.

Tell me one thing; When China becomes the economic and military superpower, will the average US citizen question how this has come to pass? Or will they simply accept it? It will happen, if we keep using this, the last great commie nation, to produce most of our consumables.
I truely wish some smal island would spring into power as a model of a governement that helps all people and helps out mankind to live in harmony because its time for some new system that works
I was kinda hoping that the biggest Island nation in the world (mine) would take up the baton for change. Unfortunatley, our sham leader is such a Dubya puppy dog, that we'll have to wait for a while.
Buit with war, consumerism, biggotry, racism, religion, hatred, distrust, people in power, anyone who isnt a respected person of WYPO, and downright arrogant pride of a country that doenst have it right yet (and that is the entire world)...we shall never get it right and the human race will eventually expire as we cant do one simple thing..
