The New York Yankees will try to hit the reset button Tuesday when they send Masahiro Tanaka to the mound against the Houston Astros in the American League wild card game. The winner of the do-or-die Major League Baseball playoff opener advances to the AL Division Series against the Kansas City Royals, while in the National League on Wednesday the Pittsburgh Pirates host the Chicago Cubs in the wild card duel for a chance to face the St. Louis Cardinals in the NL Division Series.
