(Reuters) - New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia's season may be over and his career could be in jeopardy after a setback in his rehab from a knee injury, manager Joe Girardi said on Friday. Sabathia, who has been sidelined since May 11, had appeared poised to rejoin the Yankees rotation this month before his troublesome right knee swelled after a recent rehab start. "That’s always a possibility when you have a degenerative knee," Girardi told reporters before Friday's game against the Twins in Minnesota when asked about the prospects of Sabathia needing microfracture surgery.
