Please correct me if I'm wrong but isn't killing yourself if your a Muslim a GOOD thing? In our country its a shameful sad thing associated with psych problems. In the minds of these men weren't they doing a good thing?

Two men from Saudi Arabia and one from Yemen were found dead shortly after midnight Saturday in separate cells, said the Miami-based U.S. Southern Command, which has jurisdiction over the prison. Attempts were made to revive them, but they failed.

 

Saudi Arabia is supposedly an ally of the US of A. So is Australia.

 

You will also find that a percentage of the inmates of Guantanamo Bay torture facility are American dissidents, and Australian reactionaries or mercenaries.

 

The real issue is, five years down the track, no legal reps allowed, no charges laid or proferred, no defence allowed, no visitors allowed, no hope of release, no way out.

 

If they aren't ever getting out of there, a rope around the neck is the best release available.

Who says they're Muslims? For all we know it could've been those three Chinese guys that Bush locked up for no reason, and won't release because he doesn't know where to send them, but they can't come here-though they did nothing wrong. And person (and this is a very small number) who thinks this is ok, you will find them calling it a "martyrdom operation". They bring so called proof from Hadith, yet most Muslims have seen this so-called proof and trust me when I say that it is not proof, it has nothing to do with blowing yourself up!

 

However Allah clearly tells us in the Qur'an what a martyer is...

And He also tells us that suicide is wrong...

However, isn't it posible that these men felt their suicides could be viewed as martyrdom? Of course their deaths would be taken as a bad mark against the US, maybe they felt that was enough to justify what they were doing.

Or, they killed themselves because they became really depressed in Gitmo. It might be a sin in their religion, but certain things in human psychology can over ride it. Specifically, human psychology.

You've been in Gitmo for 4 years. During this time, you are stripped, beaten, ridiculed, have underwear put on your head, see a Koran being flushed down a toilet.
