Mariama Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 negro??? Do you have to use that word? Quote I need to post something other than Islam hate.
ToriAllen Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 negro??? Do you have to use that word? Different countries use different words. Not every country is full of rabble rousers that have to change the descriptive words around every few years because they feel insulted by them. Wait about three more years and the political correct crowd will be claiming African American is insulting... Quote Smart men learn from their own mistakes; Wise men learn from others. I refuse to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed man.

Komrade Vostok Hazard Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 Political Correctness IS an insult. Political correctness IS an insult. When someone refers to black people as "african american" It seems that they're implying that all black people are from africa, and that all people from africa are black. Anyone who has their head OUT of their ass will realize that this is FAR from the truth. People from America are AMERICAN. People from Africa are AFRICAN. IRREGARDLESS OF SKIN COLOR. Are white people "European American?" didn't think so. Political correctness = Racism Quote All bullshit, No Business.
TheJenn88 Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 So you dont run through stop lights. That is quotable... Quote

Mariama Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 It is very true, how many times have I been asked "where are you from".. Quote I need to post something other than Islam hate.

Lethalfind Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 I usually say "I'm an American" which is fuckin obvious...I say it in a way that is meant to be rude so the person will understand that above all else I am an American. I just love people who want to talk about their illustrious ancestors, "oh my ancestors came over on the Mayflower..." Whatever. Or my personal fav is "I can trace my ancestors back to the aristocracie in England." I always think "great, your ancestors were worthless blood suckers living off the sweat and blood of poor people, thats something to crow about". While I might be of Irish extraction, thats so far back there's no trace left if in my family besides the last name. Quote I am a pathetic piece of shit leeching single mom.

I always think "great, your ancestors were worthless blood suckers living off the sweat and blood of poor people, thats something to crow about". Nothing wrong with knowing where you come from...I think Genealogy is interesting. I did have an ancestor come over on the Mayflower and even sign the Mayflower Compact. Francis Cook. With what settlers had to go through, I think it proves I come from good stock. I also come from English aristocracy, but they are not the blood suckers I Quote Smart men learn from their own mistakes; Wise men learn from others. ToriAllen Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 Absolutely, but does that make you better then everyone else?? That was my point. Are you asking if I'm better than everyone else, or if that's why I am better than everyone else? No, I don't think my ancestry, or anyone's ancestry, is what makes them better or worse than anyone else. Our choices do that. Ancestry is just a really fun hobby. I enjoy asking people what they are a mix of. Isn't that one of the things that makes America great? Variety is the spice of life, right? I was referring to people I have met in the past who think they are better because of this fact. I agree Ancestory is an interesting hobby. I have found some very interesting facts about my ancestors over the years. Quote I am a pathetic piece of shit leeching single mom.
ToriAllen Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 I was referring to people I have met in the past who think they are better because of this fact. I know more people who think their recent ancestry makes them better, rather that any long past ancestry. In Atlanta, for the most part, no one gives a shit who you are, or where you came from, as long as you stay out of their way. Down here, if you aren't related to someone that founded the town, you are and outsider. The first question you get asked is, "Who are you related to?" I find it extremely pathetic. Those snooty people here that think they are big fish in these little towns would be nothing in a city like Atlanta. I guess that is why they stay down here. Crawlingfaint15 Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 I hate it when people dont know the difference between hippies and rednecks...i bet most people dont know what a redneck even is, but they just use it because they heard it once or twice in their life Quote
