The Anti-Violence Partnership of Philadelphia.

We've (my wife and I) also have assisted some local church groups in

neighborhoods where gun violence has been a problem.

Problem?

Well, let's see.......

If a legal purchaser buys many guns a month and sells them to people who are

not legal to own.......vs. that same person only being able to buy one gun a

month?

That is not, by definition, a straw sale.

Back to the original situation and question, how does 'one gun a month'

prevent straw buys?

Considering the fact that it's ILLEGAL to own in Chicago in the first

place, your point is almost as moot as the shape of your head, poindextor!

The suspect did NOT have LEGAL access to it!

The VICTEMS were all DENIED!

Don't you get it?

Each and every time a VICTIM is "shot", the VICTIMS are unarmed due to

YOUR laws that unarm ONLY the victims!

There are already LAWS that say that it's against the law to rob,

murder, rape, etc.

Crimminals don't care.

However, YOU want rights that fight FOR the criminals!

Why is that?

Hmmmm. I'm a legal buyer who plies my trade by purchasing handguns and

selling them to criminals.

I now can buy......oh, 30 a month.

If I can buy only one a month, I think that might harm my supply and

demand???

Hey ashole, you think the Tooth Fairy brings illegal guns to criminals???

It won't.

If you read his reply to me when I asked nearly the identical question,

he states "If a legal purchaser buys many guns a month and sells them to

people who are not legal to own.......vs. that same person only being

able to buy one gun a month?"

What he describes is not "straw sales" nor "straw buys".

One a month sales would help hinder the supply????

I'm not against concealed carry.

You won't find any posts where I've ever said that.

(please feel free to google all you want)

I have said I think it's not effective.

You're having a rehearsed argument with someone who doesn't think the way

Someone gives you the money and you buy a gun for them is a straw

purchase. Doesn't matter if it's one gun or several.

In a straw-purchase scheme, a felon, barred by law from buying guns,

recruits someone who can legally buy guns. The intermediary fills out

forms, passes a background check, purchases the guns, then gives them to

the felon, who uses them to commit crimes or illegally resells them for

a big profit.

Lou's Loans lost its license because of a multitude of violations of

federal gun laws, some of those violations were straw

sales/purchases--also there were illegal purchases and selling multiple

guns to a person without notifying the ATF in violation of the Federal

Multiple Handgun Reporting program.

How does one gun a month eliminate "straw purchases"?

You do realize that straw sales are ALREADY illegal. Right?

So how much more illegal do you want them to be?
