I am a moderator on a couple forums and sometimes censorship is needed to keep the peace, sometimes people push the limits, they get outlandish just to either start trouble or to get attention and that kind of thing must be discouraged. I have only known you a short time but I will venture to say that you are an attention seeking type that sometimes needs a little nudge from staff to keep you from getting completely out of control.

 

But that is just my first impression.

 

 

 

Now, on censorship, I can see very limited reasons for justified censorship by the government, for example, I would see a good reason to stop state secrets from being exposed or screaming out bomb in crouded places, but as the Imus example shows, people can say what they want but must face civil reactions to that speech if it causes harm to others.

 

 

Free speach is not intended to give people freedom from civil reactions, only to give you the right to express yourself without the Government imposing penalties.

 

 

I do not know of any laws governing cartoons and forcing them to be removed from play so we need some information to continue talking about that.

Hypocrite control freaks most universally preferred and most effective tactic is secrecy, isolation of their victim. It stays behind closed doors is the unwritten rule of every hypocrite, control freak the world over. They know how to make people shut up and will use anything at their disposal up to and including murder to accomplish this depending on the degree and progression of their sickness. Stay alert boys and girls!!!

 

 

Divide and conquer is their motto, often seperating their targets from everyone but themselves and themselves from their past to insulate themselves from guilt. Guilt is always replaced with anger, often directed again at their target for whom they feel guilty for in the first place. You can often hear them cry "I hate that you made me hit you", and "you're living in the past", all the while that is all a hypocrite control freak does is live in the past because they are haunted by it and run in a frenzy of self denial and project it upon anyone they possibly can in a desperate attempt to gain piece of mind. They judge, label, and look down on you for being what they are and want to punish you for it, thereby, punish themselves.

 

 

The saddest part, they are truly blind to their actions and are in constant pain. They abuse, because they were abused and eventually become what they hate until they deal with the pain and find forgivness, which usually occurs after death. People outside their control are always threatening to them, so what better way to handle that than exert a little friendly reinforcment. Guilt trips as well as phrases like "we all think this about you" and "so and so agrees with me", and "you should do this" and "you should do that if you want to please me and keep me happy because you know what happens if you don't. I'll turn red and get angry in your face and let you know I'll escalate it til I get my way so you might as well just do what I say and think what I tell you to think and speak what I allow you to speak"... It's all quite sad and twisted..

 

Dealing With Control Freaks

Most all of you have had to contend with control freaks. These are those people who insist on having their way in all interactions with you. They wish to set the agenda and decide what it is you will do and when you will do it. You know who they are – they have a driving need to run the show and call the shots. Lurking within the fabric of the conversation is the clear threat that if you do not accede to their needs and demands, they will be unhappy.

 

 

Keep in mind that control freaks are not trying to hurt you – they’re trying to protect themselves. Remind yourself that their behavior toward you isn’t personal; the compulsion was there before they met you, and it will be their forever unless they get help. Understand that they are skilled manipulators, artful and intimidating, rehearsed debaters and excellent at distorting reality.

 

In order to not feel degraded, humiliated and have your sense of self and self worth assaulted, you need to avoid being bulldozed by a controlling lover, boss or friend. When you are caught up in a truly destructive/controlling attachment, the best response may be to walk out. You have to understand that whatever you do will have a limited effect. These people are angry and afraid to let go of you. Hence, it is your job to let go of them, protect yourself in the process… and grow.
