Tragic comedy...

So, I'm sitting here last night looking at some things and had a candle burning next to me.. I turn to look and see a 3 alarm fire on my cats ass.. Hahahahaha... Poor thing. I got it out right away and he's fine. He was more scared at my frantic "petting" to put it out.. Hahahahaha.. Too funny.

 

The moral of this story, if your ass is covered in hair, don't stick it in a fire.

LOL... I'm not sure.. It was like only a few seconds, luckily I got it out right away. It spread quickly up the tail though.. a few more seconds he would have known..

 

It was right next to me.. the fire was damn near in my face.. I was busy on the comp and didn't notice him hop up on the little table next to me til the room all the sudden got brighter.. Hahahaha

 

He's a long hair with a big, bushy tail.. luckily it was just the outer part that was ablaze.. He's no worse for the wear. Stunk up my place nice though.. Nothing like the smell of singed hair in your nose..

At least for his sake, it's something that will grow back.

That's funny. Petting the fire kinda puts the flame closer to the skin though. My dog was sitting in the sun all day once(this was in ILI). I went to pet him and he almost jumped out of his skin.

It wasn't that bad.. Quick flash and I was patting it out. Luckily didn't get anywhere near the skin. You can't even tell it happened he has so much fur.. It was pretty damn funny though.

Sometimes having a hairy arse can be a god-send.

 

Years ago I walked the dog to the beach. We found a quiet spot beside a big dune in the shade and spent some time just sat there. When he got up I could see a horde of red ants climbing all over his backside. I managed to beat most of them off before checking my rear end.

 

Result- I took several bites, and they stung like hell. The dog didn't even get one. He'd of let me know if he had. He'd of been squaking for hours.

British beauty KATE BECKINSALE almost didn't attend the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards - because her pet cat caught fire.

The actress was preparing for the awards ceremony on Sunday night (27Jan08) when her cat, Clive, became engulfed in flames after burning himself on a candle.

But Beckinsale did eventually make it to the awards with husband Len Wiseman to present Alec Baldwin with his award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series in 30 Rock.

She tells People.com, "Our cat caught fire on a candle. As I was getting ready, there was like 'whoosh' a fireball and he went up like a rocket.

"(The cat) is fine. He had no idea. It was awful"
