wez Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Come to find out last Sat. about a block from me, a house had blown up... Seems a young, really nice couple who lived there let a "friend" stay with them. I recognize the last name but didn't know any of them.. Seems the "friend", had gone down to a suburb of the Twin Cities and killed his estranged wife/girlfriend, then went back to the couples house a block from me and slit his own wrists and apparently turned on some gas and caused the explosion. The couple had just got home and luckily went to the mailbox before going in as the explosion happened right then.. The "friend" comes running out on fire, and survives, so far, with major 2nd and 3rd degree burns.. And how was your day? Oh yeah, the estranged wifes/girlfriends young 17 year old daughter found her.. what the f ck? Quote
eddo Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Come to find out last Sat. about a block from me, ^^that explains it all. After living a block from you for any length of time, I'd likely blow up my house too... Quote I'm trusted by more women.

Hahahahaha ... what a deal though.. What an asshole.. coulda easily killed that couple that opened their home to him.. Did some serious damage to it at worst. Didn't burn down I guess. Prolly an explosion that blew itself out. I haven't been by to gawk.. yet. I hear it blew out most, if not all the windows.. plus, he got arrested for the murder in intensive care.. I think he was 33. I was actually at my folks when it happened so I didn't hear the excitment, or even know til yesterday when my mom told me. Quote
wez Posted February 1, 2008 Author Posted February 1, 2008 Hmmmmmmmmmmm.. You know, after I get out of school, I've been thinking of catching on with a traveling nurse company and wintering/working in a warm climate like Arizona.. May even buy a house there.. and cause another to blow up.. Quote

I'd love it.. that's what I'm looking forward to most.. the option to go damn near anywhere in the world and know I could get a good job doing something I'll love.. I have no strings. I love going to school too.. what I'm gonna like most about it is the interaction with people and everyday will be different from the day before.. Can't wait. I easily bore with routine.. I have a great aunt who became a nurse in her 50's and is still going strong at 87.. she takes care of people 30 years her junior.. pretty cool. Smokes, drinks, gambles and swears.. hahahaha.. She's awsome. Really, I just love learning... the brain is amazing. The more you use it, the better it gets, just like any muscle.. What else is great is that the field is learning new things all the time and is ever changing.. Not a dogma of always was, is and will be.. Quote
Guest Molly_Ringworm Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 That's really terrible! I feel awful for her poor daughter. I can't imagine the horror of finding your mother murdered like that. I hope she has other family members near by who will help her through such a horrific time. The house situations sucks too, But houses can be replaced. Hopefully their homeowners insurance will cover it. (at least part of it.) Quote
phreakwars Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Seems to me he got what he deserved if he caught himself on fire and lived. Hopefully he will have some scars on his body for the rest of his life in prison as a reminder of his stupidity. . . Quote https://www.facebook.com/phreakwars

snafu Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Yeah we just had an acquittal of some officers. The charge was violating this guys civil rights. The guy shoots is 2 year old son in the face then kills himself and the officers have to go on trial for the gun battle. I heard the family had really good insurance and they're taking care of everything quickly with their house. Pretty sure the "friend" has a guard posted outside his hospital door at all times and can look forward to a quick trial and life sentence after many months of healing if he doesn't die from his burns getting infected.. I hope he lives.. Perhaps his scars will keep him from getting raped in prison, so he's got that going for him.. Quote
