Old Salt Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Hurray for the non-smoking smoke-filled room. No matter the outcome at the convention, half the Democratic Party will think they got shafted by the system if the nomination comes down to the super-delegates. Quote
timesjoke Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Well it is official, Hillary won both Ohio and Texas. There were rumors that Hillary would be pressured to back down if she did not win both of these states so those of us not wanting either one of them to be the next president should be very happy. As long as they are fighting each other, they are not getting ready to face Mccain and better then that, as their supportes get more and more glued to their canidate, it is very possible that if their choice gets taken down, they may decide to not vote for the other person out of anger or dissapointment. We can only hope they stay fighting right up to the convention and even still bickering after the convention. Quote
Old Salt Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 During the CNN commentary, they were talking about polls that said: 25% of Hillary supporters could see themselves voting for McCain if Hillary wasn't the candidate 10% of Obama supporters could see themselves votinng for McCain if Obama wasn't the candidate In either case, it doesn't bode well for the Democrats. And it will only get worse as things drag on. As things get more and more heated and it comes down to the super delagates deciding who will run for president, the other side will be very angry, even if one of them win the whitehouse, the show will almost (remember I said almost) be worth it.
