timesjoke Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 FOXNews.com - California High School Football Star Gunned Down in Random Gang Attack - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News LOS ANGELES ? A high school football star described as "a Houdini on the football field" was shot dead on Sunday in random gang violence and his mother was returning from her second tour of duty in Iraq, officials said. I guess me never being in a gang cripples my understanding of the mentality but I cannot understand what they get out of killing a random person. Yes I understand that some gangs even require a random killing to be a full member, but I am still at a loss as to why they do it. Is it they feel powerless in their lives so they kill another to feel powerful? I see wars, their bad, but they tend to have a goal to have land or defend land or remove a bad dictator, or any other long list of things but when a gang member kills an innocent, what did they gain? wez Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 That's what happens with a mob mentality. All reason disappears and insanity takes it's place. Quote
