Something happens and he gets thrown in, makes the play of the century and comes out a hero. But suck it up Brett. They wont pay him 13 mil to sit on the bench... He'll either start, be released, or traded... And he'll have a lot of say where he'd be traded to. Quote

I don't foresee him starting and I don't foresee him being released (cause then the Vikings could get him.) Personally, I'd pay him the minimum and make him earn the starting spot- which he very well could do. of course, I would do that for every NFL, NBA, MLB, NASCAR, etc, etc, etc player. They thought they could do without him because they drafted Lawrence Phillips. That worked out great. When Phillips went down we had to suffer through Amp Lee and some help from Craig Hayward at fullback. It was a stupid trade. Quote

Bettis didn't fit that mold. It worked out well for both teams over the years when all the smoke cleared. Quote
