Hate Speech is diliberitly inciting hate upon a person, group, thing, place, etc... through various forms, however I find it is primarily through one's own lobby.

 

This is why we find more freedom of speech on GF than hate speech. Theoretically, GF belongs to it's respective owners, however in a more abstract sense, GF really belongs to nobody, I think there will always be a variety of people on here, premiums, non-premiums, idiots, fools, cool people, nice people, stupid people, basically I have seen all kinds of people. It's quite nice too, especially from an such an open source yet you're confined to a computer which can be good sometimes.

It's not how the board is moderated. I haven't been to any other boards but I get the jest of the others. I don't want someone telling me to simmer down or you can't say that. I would just like some topics to stay on track to an extent. They will always get derailed but these perosnal fights need to got to a thread call " The boxing ring" or something. That's all I'm suggesting.

I don’t know about any of you, but when I stumbled upon this site two years ago, some of you were already here. I logged on posted a rant about HMO’s and then got absolutely roasted, slammed, flamed and called every name in the book from asshole to pedo to retard and then some. They called my mother a whore, my wife a cunt, my kids inbreed,

 

At first I was taken aback, thought WTF is going on here? These people are crazy. Closed my browser and intended never to come back to GF,

 

Well there is this option that auto subscribes you to a thread you post in, so I kept getting insulting emails day after day, I finally decided I had to go back to the site and find a way to unsubscribe to these insidious emails… and that’s were it all went terribly wrong.

 

I got sucked in, because in order to figure out how to stop the emails I had to read the site instructions etc… in reading the site instructions I learned.

 

So armed with my new found knowledge I went back to my thread prepared to defend myself, bare knuckles, tooth and claw. Fuck these asshole I thought, well it proved more difficult then anticipated.

 

CES had just joined the site, MRIH was already there, ToriAllen was and is merciless, Hugo same, same and Phreak had a nasty habit of getting you to click on links that would leave pop-ups on your pc for months calling you an Idiot, until he told you how to remove them etc…

 

Now why does this matter? Point is this site is raw; it was created to be raw, it is supposed to be raw.

 

Since then GF has gained a few new MOD’s lost a few good ones. What I will say about things then vs now is the MOD’s stayed the fuck out of individual battles, and you got boxed for not being able to hold your won or prove you point etc.. not boxed over some skirt that cant think or complained etc.. and if a MOD did edit, erase or got tired of the whiner sending them IM’s or emails they roasted the whiner and told them to shut the fuck up and fight back etc…

 

Now I travel so there have been gaps, and I do not have a liner perspective of how we got from there to here.. Obviously I missed how the site morphed into a babysitting site, were Idiots like MM are given a free hand and assisted by the MOD’s.

 

Everyone who knows me from the beginning knows I don’t just go after someone for no reason. Unless attacked or provoked I pretty much stay on topic and away from the ranting insults etc..

 

You want to take back GF time to change up some moderators, get rid of the coddlers, get rid of the MOD’s that push their agenda instead of the GF agenda, otherwise your looking at another Jungle forum or a My Space forum.

 

If you don’t care enough to read this, if you don’t care enough to do something then you’re what you complain about in the posts, lethargic, uninvolved and detached.
