I don't see how this is GW's fault, he does not make the guidelines, maybe some consideration by the liberal controlled Congress is in order.

Isolationist tactics will not work, our society is too fully immersed into the PC religion to change now. We are letting in more ME people because we feel guilty for attacking ME people.

#1 The stats I presented were for 2005. The Republicans controlled congress in 2005. We had a Republican president and a Republican congress and they allowed increased immigration of Muslims. This is how Europe got to where they are today. GW has supported expansionary immigration since he was governor of Texas.

#2 I suggest we not attack ME people without insuring it advances our national interests. We should have thrown all our military force in Afghanistan, not invaded a secular state, Iraq, and strengthening fundamentalist Iran in the process.

Where to start......

While this sounds good it is a completely unrealistic goal because we need Americans to conserve, a thing nobody is willing to do so whatever axctions we want to consider, we must stay inside the realm of reality.

Basic economics tells you that as a good becomes more expensive alternative substitutes will come into place and attempts to reduce the use of that good will be made. I'm looking for a vehicle right now. Fuel economy is a much greater priority than the last time I purchased a vehicle. If you factor in the cost of the Iraq War into oil prices you get a more realistic idea of what oil is really costing us in dollars, not to even mention blood.

What else is interesting about Pat's article is that is was written in 2000.. over a year before 9/11 even happened. He could apparently see the writing on the wall.

Yeah but we were tying to work with Saddam with the food for oil program. This was a direct counter for the sanctions until we could get Saddam's arms from him. It failed because the funds were mis-used.

Like I've said before, your damn if you do and damned if you don't. But we are the superpower and it is up to us to keep the world safe.
