Very sad, and grossly underreported I reckon.. The army doesn't look fondly on mental illness and I'm sure many soldiers are terrified to even say or do anything for fear of the stigma, making it all the worse. I'd say there's something wrong with a person if war didn't have a negative, long lasting effect on them.. Sad. Young people barely old enough to drink, if even.

I'm not sure. In my experience in my job, I think that 1 in 5 people with mental problems isn't much off society.

Still is hard to see all the Vietnam vets out their struggling.. pretty much forgotten.

Well it stands to reason. You live in a cushy society and then are subjected to an extreme environment, then return back to the cushy life. The shell shock of post wars were also documented but probably not to the extent they are now. It only stands to reason.
